Anchor; the Canadian Reformed Association for the Handicapped, is a non-profit, charitable organization that provides long term support to adults with physical, social, mental or developmental disabilities in a caring, Christian environment.
Some of our members volunteer at Campfire! Bible camp. Since 1997 Campfire! Bible Camp has been bringing children and youth together for summer camp experiences that focus on teaching and sharing the love of Jesus Christ.http://campfirebiblecamp.ca/
Christian Counselling Centre
The Christian Counselling Centre (CCC) is a non-profit, charitable organization that is dedicated to glorifying God by caring for those who are distressed or struggling emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
Many of our church members are involved in ‘Friendship Group’, this group works with the mentally handicapped in the Owen Sound area. They meet Wednesday evenings from September – May for a time of fellowship, Bible stories, and singing. To get an idea of what we do check out http://friendship.org/
Grey Bruce Healthcare Chaplaincy
We support the pastoral care office and the chapel at the Owen Sound Hospital.
Life Renewal Support Services was set up with the goal of helping those struggling with brokenness and hurt. This program has proven effective to help people from every walk of life, every economic level and virtually every possible area of woundedness.
Owen Sound Crisis Pregnancy Centre
Owen Sound Crisis Pregnancy Centre is a non-profit agency that provides confidential services free of charge. The Centre supports women of all ages facing an unplanned or stressful pregnancy. Owen Sound Food Bank
As a congregation we support the local food bank at Owen Sound.
We support L’Eglise Reformee du Quebec (ERQ) St. Georges, Quebec. This is a Reformed Church in St. Georges de Beauce, it is part of the ERQ federation of churches in Quebec. This support allows them to have a second minister, Rev. Paulin Bédard. One of his tasks is to produce reformed material that would be beneficial to the congregation, the federation, and other French speaking Christians.
