Bible Studies
Group Bible study is an important way for us as Christians to grow in our understanding of God’s word, to grow in faith, and to encourage one another in our daily walk with the Lord. And so the study of God’s Word by the members is an ongoing activity in our church. Bible study usually begins in the early fall, continues throughout the winter months and concludes in late spring. During this time a book of the Bible is usually studied in an in-depth manner. From time to time, certain Bible themes, different ethical topics, current issues, or the confessions of the church may also be dealt with in a systematic way.
Women’s Bible Study
Every other Thursday morning and evening, the ladies of the church gather together to discuss the Word of God. We decide on a book to use as a guide to help study a book of the Bible. Women sign up to either lead the discussion, provide refreshments, or help with babysitting. The Bible study is from 8:45 a.m. in the morning and 7:45 p.m. in the evening at the church. We welcome any new member or guests.
Thursday Evening Bible Study
A Bible study open to all members of the congregation that meets every other Thursday at the church to study God’s Word. Most often a study guide chosen by group consensus is used to assist in the discussion. Those who come may volunteer to lead if they wish. Henry Bosscher currently co-ordinates who is leading the discussion at each Bible study. The lesson being studied is published every other week in the church bulletin. Everyone is welcome. We would love to see you!!!
Men’s Prayer Meeting
Prayer meeting starts at 7:30 pm at the church is held every second and 4th Wednesday every month at 7:30 pm.
At the prayer meeting we read through psalms and then we pray through the specific psalm chosen. The first prayer is a vertical prayer of adoration and praise to God and confessional in nature. The second prayer is horizontal of nature one of thanksgiving and supplication. Through this meeting it is our aim to draw near to God and to build each other up. Everyone member or non member is welcome to attend.
Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. (James 5:16)
